We present our first ‘Outliers’ EP featuring 3 tracks which could all be loosely classified as ‘Electronica’. Firstly, Australian DJ Andrew Mashiko aka Hyasynth with his 126bpm debut ‘Tears of the Sun’, a track with echoes of early BT about it, with its jazzy keyboard stabs, glockenspiel trills and some neat Chicago style vocal samples. Secondly Irish producer William Byrne (Pure Trance, Armada) drops the quirkily shuffling 126bpm ‘Out There’ with its nifty rim-shot-rolls & other-worldly choral samples. Completing this ternion of curiosity is the beatless & cinematic ‘Here We Are’ from Toronto-based singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and music teacher Will RP Melville and fellow Torontonian Waxman (Pure Progressive, Droid9, Univack) with its shadowy ambience and eerie vocal layers.
