He is regarded as one of the most consistent high-performing DJs and producers in the industry, and with good reason. And on the production front, he has raised the bar not only yielding big room anthems under his own name, but also with the utilisation of a broodier guise.
Markus Schulz has dedicated 2011 to his alter-ego – engineered specifically for the nightclubs and arenas. And thanks to the response and success of Thoughts Become Things in 2009, this year will continue to see the rise of Dakota.
Fresh off the heels of his hugely acclaimed Prague ’11 compilation, and with the Thoughts Become Things sequel touching town in the summer season, Markus presents the first single – one which is aptly named for his darker alter-ego – Sinners.
An almost constant staple in the Global DJ Broadcast World Tour since debuting in Budapest last August, Sinners is almost the very definition of a Markus Schulz liveset – tough, aggressive, powerful, and loaded with tension underneath.
Already receiving huge support from the likes of Armin van Buuren and W&W, the Dakota mantra continues to menace throughout the biggest events and radio shows. And the release of Sinners is only the precipice for what lies ahead with the Thoughts Become Things followup this summer.
Markus Schulz is a man not content to rest on his laurels, and Sinners looks set to soar into anthem status already.
