Bart De Moor, Senior Manager Product Marketing talks about the new MCX8000 Multi-Carrier Satellite Gateway, a 3-in-1 solution that brings high reliability, high availability and lower downtime to the market. It has hot-swappable and modular modem boards and power supply units that can easily be replaced without using any tools. The MCX8000 is DVB NIP compliant and thus ready to be used in IP services. It can do over 300 Mbps of IP encapsulation. He also discusses the SKYflow ecosystem, an end-to-end solution that delivers DVB Native IP over Satellite while using multicast ABR (mABR). It creates a range of use cases for mobile and multi-room viewing, multi-screen viewing, education video distribution to mobility. ST Engineering iDirect and its SKYflow partners were awarded with a contract by the Institute of Radio and Television Peru (irtp) to enable access to Free-to-Air Public TV channels.
