Brazilian Klauss Goulart has established himself as one of South America’s bright young talents in 2011. His track Turbulence burst onto the scene through Markus Schulz’s Prague ’11 compilation in February and was supported for months by every major DJ on the circuit. Accompanied by a strong effort on Let Your Scars Dance, his first E.P. release for Coldharbour in May was certainly well received.
Fast forward to the summer season and the arrival of Markus’ contribution to the Be at Space Ibiza 2011 compilation, and nestled within the big room presentation was one of his weapons to rock every festival audience to the core. Like Turbulence before it, Klauss was at the helm of an earth shaker.
With a tough bassline accompanied by a gentle build, the original really kicks off from the break onwards, with copious amounts of tension that you’d typically expect from a Klauss production. The track appeared in the Global DJ Broadcast World Tour editions of Budapest and Ibiza, as well as Markus’ special 4 hour Coldharbour Day set back in July.
Like Klauss, the remixers chosen to cast their interpretation on No Man’s Land have made quite an impact on Coldharbour in 2011 in their own right. Miami’s Tim Grube and Los Angeles native Mike Hovsepian were elevated to new heights with their beautiful track Invisible, and look set to continue the momentum with a more melodic take in comparison to the original; yet still assembled in a fashion that will work effectively on live dancefloors.
As the South American summer gets ready to heat up, No Man’s Land will be ready to fire.
