In the year 1999 Ferry Corsten was awarded with a “Zilveren Harp”.
The “Zilveren Harp” (Silver Harp) is a Dutch award given annually to promising musical talent. The award is very prestigious and winners are chosen by a different jury each year. The “Zilveren Harp” is given by the foundation “Buma Cultuur”, which aims to promote Dutch music.
Dutch comedian and TV host Harm Edens announced Ferry during the “Gouden Harpen Gala”. The “Zilveren Harp” was awarded by Erik de Zwart, a famous Dutch radio DJ and television maker and Radio 538 co-founder.
After the award ceremony, System F performed “Cry” live on stage, with singer Saskia Lie-Atjam on vocals.
